Subway Closure

An article published by Hull Daily Mail revealed that a local Subway in the the area of Bridlington had been shut due to its failure to meet criteria.

The popular food chain failed inspections from East Riding Council, scoring a zero with urgent improvement needed. Comments were made on the cleanliness and condition of the building as a whole, while also being targeted for the unhygienic handling of produce and cleanliness of the facilities.

A member of the East Riding Council told press that officers found various problems that needed 'urgent improvement'. The owners of the chain chose to close the store voluntarily and deal with the issues. A spokesperson said that the outlet had closed for a day to carry out the much-needed cleaning.

Once this clean had been carried out, the branch were visited again where their work was approved allowing them to open and carry on with their usual business.
